SectionHow we work

Five quiet steps, signed off by you.

The shape of every engagement — children's book, manuscript polish or website rewrite. Each step is signed off in writing before the next begins.

01

The reading.

A 15-minute discovery call. We listen, you talk. A fixed-price proposal in writing follows within 48 hours.

02

The shape.

An outline, voice sheet or moodboard — depending on the piece — signed off before any drafting or art begins.

03

The making.

Fortnightly batches with named editor and illustrator. You mark up freely; we revise within scope until you're happy.

04

The production.

Design, typesetting, validation against thirty-plus store rejection criteria, ISBN, copyright registration.

05

The handover.

Source files, KDP and Apple accounts in your name, launch checklist and a 30-day review-watching window.

SectionLetters received

What authors tell us.

Three letters from the last six months — across writing, illustration and formatting.

"
They read the manuscript twice before the first call and came back with the questions I'd been avoiding. That's when I knew. The book that came out the other end is the one I'd been trying to write for three years.

The illustrator sent character sheets in week two and they were already better than I'd imagined. By the time we got to spreads, the world felt finished. My six-year-old asks for the dedication page now.

"
KDP accepted the file on the first try, which everyone had told me wouldn't happen. The proof we got back read like an actual book. I'd hand them my next manuscript without thinking twice.

SectionOur promises

Signed into every engagement.

Four commitments that travel with every quote, regardless of which service you pick.

Author retains 100% of rights.

Print, digital, audio, translation, film. Yours, from the first draft. Written into the first paragraph of every contract.

Fixed-price proposal in 48 hours.

Round figures, not bids. No surprise add-ons after the contract is signed. Scope changes flagged in writing before the next sentence is drafted.

A named editor on every project.

You meet them in week one. You email them directly. They are on the colophon of your book. Manuscripts don't move through an anonymous pool.

Files that pass the store, first time.

Zero KDP rejections across forty-seven titles in 2025. If a store ever rejects a file, we re-cut it at our cost.

SectionFAQ

Questions we are asked.

Six honest answers about working with us across any service. Anything else, send to contact@ebookwriting.ai.

How do you decide which service I need?

The 15-minute call. We listen for the book or piece behind the brief and write back a proposal that picks the right service — and, sometimes, says you don't need us at all. You're not committing to anything by booking that call.

Can I combine services?

That's the common case. Most engagements bundle writing with illustration and formatting, or formatting with cover design and KDP setup. The proposal will show each component as a line item so you can keep or remove pieces without re-pricing the whole thing.

What does "fixed-price" actually mean?

The price in your proposal is what you pay, even if the work takes us longer than planned. Scope changes happen — you decide to add a chapter, a spread, a third revision round — and those are quoted in a short addendum before any new work begins. There are no hourly meters running.

How is AI used in the work?

For research, voice-sample studies, validation passes and translation drafts — accelerating the homework so editors spend more time on your manuscript. The book itself is written, edited and shaped by named humans. Your manuscript is never used to train third-party models; drafts run on enterprise APIs with retention disabled.

Who owns the source files when the work is done?

You do. PSD, AI, EPUB source, Vellum or InDesign files, and any custom typography settings are handed over at the end of the project so future revisions don't depend on us. Your KDP, Apple and IngramSpark accounts are in your name from day one.

Do you take on books you don't believe in?

We turn down roughly twice as many manuscripts as we publish. We don't take on election-year political memoirs, pure AI-generated books, content farms or pay-to-play review schemes. It's the most useful service we offer our authors — protecting the company they keep on the shelf.
